Adblue Vw. VW estimates that the Tiguan and Passat use 15 litres of AdBlue every 620 miles and suggests that a tankful of AdBlue gives a driving range of 3000-4000 miles for the Tiguan and 4000-6500 miles for the Passat. The capacity is 12L.

VW estimates that the Tiguan and Passat use 15 litres of AdBlue every 620 miles and suggests that a tankful of AdBlue gives a driving range of 3000-4000 miles for the Tiguan and 4000-6500 miles for the Passat. When refilling the vehicle its important to fill with at least 4L of AdBlue as less will not register with the sensors in. Both elements are harmless once.
Should your AdBlue tank become empty it will be impossible to restart the cars engine.
Your Volkswagen consumes between 15 and 28 litres of AdBlue per 1000 kilometres. AdBlue also called Diesel Exhaust Fluid is an odourless colourless clean and non-toxic fluid that consists of 325 ultra-pure urea and 675 deionised water. AdBlue a waterurea based additive is stored in a tank like diesel fuel however unlike fuel it is not injected into the engine but directly into a specially modified part of the vehicles exhaust. See Figures 1 and 2.
