Vw Stiftung. It was initially used at Volkswagen as a test car for the press before being transferred to the AutoMuseum collection in 1980. With a capital of 29 billion euros as of 2016 it is the largest German scientific foundation.

In the Volkswagen AutoMuseum we present some of the milestones from this period. Information on nearly all vehicles ever produced by Volkswagen is stored here on master cards punched cards microfilms or in digital form. The museum houses around 130 cars on permanent display ranging from the earliest VW Beetles to concept design studies of VW models.
